N1MXP is my amateur radio call sign. Amateur radio is more commonly referred
to as "Ham Radio". Radio and electronics enthusiasts are assigned certain
frequency bands by the FCC for the purposes of enjoying the hobby and serving
the public.
Here's a list of the phonetic alphabet. Each letter has a word associated to
it to make it easier to communicate. My call sign, "N1MXP" is phonetically
pronounced, "November One Mike X-Ray Papa".
